Prep Time: 15 mins

Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients:

  • 1 TBLS avocado oil or olive oil (option to use sesame oil for additional flavor)

  • 2 lbs of cleaned green beans or haricot verts

  • 1 med-sized shallot sliced thinly.

  • 1 tsp minced ginger

  • 2 cloves garlic minced

  • 1 TBLS toasted sesame seeds ( toast in a small pan over low heat for 3-5 mins, mixing occasionally)

  • ½ cup toasted almond slices or slivers (Toast on a baking sheet in an oven set to 350 degrees for 5-7 mins)

  • Salt and Pepper to taste

  • 1 cup Plant Bomb Thai Almond Sauce.

Instructions:

  • Pro tip: Blanch and shock green beans. This method allows you to lightly pre-cook the beans in boiling water and immediately stop the cooking process by shocking them in ice-cold water, preventing them from overcooking and retaining all the beautiful greenness of the beans.

  • Bring 8 cups of water to a boil in a large stock pot. Season the water with a large pinch of salt.

  • Once the water is boiling, lightly place green beans in the boiling water. Mix occasionally, cooking for approx. 5 mins. The green beans should be lightly cooked but still crunchy.

  • Have a large bowl ready filled halfway with cold water and ice cubes.

  • Remove green beans from the pot with tongs and place them into the ice bath. Mix them around, and once fully cooled, drain into a colander and pat dry with a cloth.

  • Heat a large sauté pan to medium heat. Add oil. Add shallots, mixing frequently, and sauté for 1 min until they become translucent.

  • Toss in green beans and sauté for 3-5 mins, stirring occasionally.

  • Add garlic and ginger and sauté for 1 more min, toasting the garlic and ginger lightly until they become fragrant.

  • Season the beans with salt and pepper to taste.

  • Add Plant Bomb Thai almond and lightly coat the whole mixture. Heat for another 1-2 mins and remove from heat.

  • Place the Green beans in your favorite serving dish, Garnish with sesame seeds and toasted almonds and Enjoy!
